Italian horror maestro Dario Argento's first film in which his daughter Asia plays the lead role. An anorexic young woman (Asia Argento) escapes from a psychiatric clinic and tries to kill herself when she meets a young man named David (Christopher Rydell) who helps her. Her mother is a medium who holds seances, and during one session, both her parents are beheaded by a killer who apparently strikes only when it rains. With the help of her new friend, the orphaned young woman starts her own investigation and are soon targeted by the killer when they uncover a secret about a gruesome event that happened years back.
