Suddenly thousands of birds are flocking into town, preying on schoolchildren and residents in a terrifying series of attacks. Soon Mitch and Melanie are fighting for their lives against a deadly force that cant be explained and cant be stopped in one of Hollywoods most horrific films of nature gone berserk.Featuring 370 trick shots, The Birds required nearly 3 years of preparation due to its technical complexity and was responsible for numerous innovations in special effects and sound. The 32 separate shots in the final scene represent the best examples of Hitchcocks directing talent.
