Set in the near future, the film focuses on Arnold Mosk (Neil Patrick Harris) a High School student caught abusing drugs. When hes put in a Controversial Isolation Program nicknamed The Animal Room his life is threatened. Its a no holds barred, anything goes arena where no rules apply, where the most troubled youth have been assembled. Arnold is terrorized by the animal rooms gang leader Doug Van Housen (Matthew Lillard), a reckless delinquent with little care for life or the rules of society. When Arnolds childhood friend Gary, a popular school athlete, tries to save him all involved are caught in a cycle of violence bringing the film to a near-apocalyptic conclusion.
