Francois Truffant's final film is a stylish tribute to the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. Beautifully shot in black and white by Academy Award winner Nestor Almendros and based on The Long Saturday Night by Charles Williams, Confidentally Yours tells the story of a man falsely accused of murder. When businessman Julien Vercel (Trintignant) is accused of murdering his wife and her lover, he hides in his office to avoid capture. It is up to his secretary Barbara (Ardant), who is secretly in love with him, to prove his innocence.
