Nandini is the daughter of Pandit Darbar, renowned proponent of classical music, living in the Rann of Kutch. Nandini has been broought up with more freedom and education than her siblings, as she is the most beloved of Pandit Darbar.
Into the family comes Sameer, a boy of Indo-Hungarian parentage. He is a music student and wants to grasp the essence of Hindustani music under the guidance of Pandit Darbar. During the course of his one-year sty, Sameer and Nandini fall in love.
When their love is discovered, Sameer is banished from the household. Meanwhile Nandini's parents have arranged to get her married.He then shows his true love and wishdom by taking Nandini to Hungary to search for Sameer...
