On a rainy night, Chul-Joong, an officer on duty is assaulted by a man in an alley. The attacker drops his knife after the attack, and leaves Chul-Joong with a nasty cut. Several weeks later, an old couple is found murdered. Although there are no clues, Chul-Joong comes to realize the attack wounds match the blade that was used on him. He desperately tries to form leads in his head. When Chul-Joong meets a bank manager, he has an intuition that he may in fact be the killer. But Gyoo-Hwan is a powerful man, and soon has stripped Chul-Joong from the case. He is not deterred, however, as he dedicates himself to bringing the killer down, regardless of any opposition.
