Twelve year-old Gennaro will do just about anything to earn"two bits" (one quarter) for the price of admission to the grand opening of the local movie theater - a place of magic where dreams come true. In his quest for the quarter, Gennaro seeks the gruff advice of his wise-cracking grandfather (Al Pacino).
