Once known as Battosai the Killer, Kenshin Himura had adopted a life of peace in a new age of Japanese prosperity. However, when Makoto Shishio, the Shadow Killer, rises from an attempted assassination with an army of former samurai at his back ready to take revenge upon the established regime.
