Sometime in the near-ish future after North and South Korea have been reunited, a
detective, Seok (Kim Seung-wu), finds himself chasing a violent anti-science revolutionary (Choi Min-su) who is not only at work for his cause, but who also killed Seok’s young son. A year later, Seok, still mourning his son’s death and still looking for his murderer, a military official is kidnapped in an unbelievably intricate plot to get to his daughter, Hui-su (Kim Yun-jin). Hui-su is a world-renowned criminal psychologist and she teams up with Seok to get her father back. The plot snakes around from the criminal psyche to cloning to border problems with the Chinese to genetically engineered and programmable people.
