When writing the script, Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali deliberately rejected anything that made rational sense, so a plot summary is something of a futile exercise. Still, here goes... Un Chien Andalou consists of 15 minutes of bizarre and surreal images which may or may not mean anything. A woman's eye is slit open, a man pokes at a severed hand in the street with his cane, a man drags two grand pianos containing dead and rotting donkeys and live priests, a man's hand has a hole in the palm from which ants emerge.
