Picking up after the action of "Fushigi Yugi: The Mysterious Play Ova," "Fushigi Yugi Eikoden" is a four episode series that finds Miaka and Taka married and living in domestic bliss as they await the birth of their first child. Unfortunately, The Universe of the Four Gods once again disrupts their life when a young girl obsessed with Taka figures out how to use the power of Suzaku to steal Miaka and Taka's unborn child. Forced to go back to Konan to find his family, Taka must also save Konan from a supernatural menace that threatens to destroy the book and everything in it.
