|
Gérard, a young student, discovers a fragment of a Phoenician amphora in Corsica. Several years later he sets off on board the boat of some traffickers, in search of the treasure he thinks he has found. Once more on the island, he falls in love with the young Manina. The remains are rediscovered, but the boat goes off with its precious cargo, leaving the young man on the island. The seafarers are shipwrecked, and Gérard, still poor, consoles himself with Manina's pure love.
