Movie legend Chow Yun-fat, star of ‘The Replacement Killers’ and ‘Bulletproof Monk’ teams up with Asian-American action hero Conan Lee for a smash hit kung fu cop comedy. Francis Li (Chow Yun-fat) is an easygoing Hong Kong police officer, looking to stay safe and sound until retirement. To his dismay, Francis finds himself teamed with the maverick rookie Michael Cho (Conan Lee), who seems intent on finding a bullet with his name on it. When a vicious band of Triad gangsters fall out over a missing drug shipment, Francis and Michael both find themselves in the line of fire. Francis is forced to rely on his skills with guns and blades, and Michael with his fists and feet of fury. Legendary Shaw Brothers director Lau Kar-leung turns his talents to this Hong Kong take on the ‘Lethal Weapon’ series, which features ‘Kill Bill’ star Gordon Liu as a deadly Triad hitman. A huge hit in Hong Kong cinemas, ‘Tiger On The Beat’ features a breakneck paced mix of comedy, stunts and high impact martial arts action.
