Raj (Bobby Deol) has left for Switzerland along with his wife Priya (Kareena Kapoor) looking for work, where they meet Vicky (Akshay Kumar) and Sonia (Bipasha Basu), the married couple next door. The four soon become good friends, despite several differences between Raj and Vicky. When Vicky brings up the idea of wife-swapping to Raj, Raj's anger becomes so great, that he calls off the friendship. But they soon make amends, and when Vicky makes the offer the second time, Raj agrees. But when Vicky returns to his wife after the ill-fated evening, he finds Sonia dead. Vicky believes that Raj has killed his wife, and sets out on a revenge quest to find the truth. But the answers are not as clear as Vicky would hope, and he soon begins to question everything that has happened.
