Liu Chia-Liang's action film Shaolin Challenges Ninja stars Gordon Liu as Tao, a Chinese man who marries a Japanese woman. When Tao learns that his wife is studying a different form of martial arts than the one he studies, the two fight often in order to discover whose method is superior. She eventually leaves in order to sharpen her abilities, but returns to find her husband in serious danger.
