This is one of the rare (as far as we are concerned) occasions where the fish-out-of-water in a foreign land scenario is entertaining enough to sustain a full length feature. The more informed you are in regards to the inner workings and special ingredients of Bollywood cinema, the more enjoyable this film will be. They have stripped it of musical numbers (other than for the sake of parody) and have cut the length in half in terms of the running time of the average Hindi film. We recommend it, as it has great crossover appeal, sharply merging both Hollywood & Bollywood comic sensibilities.
Out-of-luck American B-movie actor, Pat Stormare, is thrust into the circus of Bollywood, when a producer decides to create the first team-up of an American hero with Manu, an aging Bollywood Indian star. Manu and Pat play brothers who have been separated by destiny and united by fate in an action-romance-drama with a young aspiring starlet who is no stranger to the harsh realities of the local film industry. As Pat rises from uncertain actor to competent Bollywood hero, he slowly adjusts from outsider to an insider of the industry, and all of the colorful experiences that go along with the ride.
