Based on actual events, this is the story of honor, courage, and passionate rivalries. In an effort to remain neutral, Ireland made a deal to intern any soldier, German or Allied, captured on Irish soil. During a dogfight, Allied pilot Miles Keogh (Bill Campbell) and German polot Rudolph von Stegenbeck (Angus Mac Fdyen) shoot each other down and are captured. The camp commandant (Gabriel Byrne) tries to keep the peace between these sworn enemies. But, when both men fall in love with Mattie (Jean Butler of Riverdance), a fiery Irish beauty, their hatred becomes personal. Now, these soldiers must fight each others on two battlefields - love and war.
