The Judy Garland Show was the television event of the 1963-64 television season - and only Garland could attract such A-list talent as Lena Horne, Count Basie and music great Mel Torm. In one of his finest television appearances, the multi-talented singer-composer-musician-arranger steps from behind the camera as The Judy Garland Shows special musical material maestro to swin with his jazz-infused arrangement of Fascinating Rhythm, before being backed by Basie on Dont Dream of Anybody But Me and joining Judy for an unforgettable April In Paris. Despite shared years at MGM, Judy and Lena never worked officially together until this once-in-a-lifetime teaming in July, 1963 for show Nr. 4. This spectacular hour has Garland and Horne going head-to-head from the spectacular opening Day In, Day Out duet through and unforgettable Judy Sings Lena Sings Judy medley. Lena takes center stage with several solos, including He Loves Me and Where Is Love? and Judy wraps up the hour with a sensational The Man That Gor Away - and a hilarious tale of losing the Academy Award for A Star is Born.
