Even your own land can be an enemy shore. Hikaru's quest for the Magatamas of Water and Fire lead her across the sea to cursed islands. The ferocious pirate king, Torakuma, whose blood feud with the islanders threatens to tear apart Hikaru and her fellow adventurers, protects the first. Then she encounters the Kumaso clan, who have been taught the art of gunpowder by a powerful foreigner. Hikaru finds that the Magatama of Fire is not all that's on the line. The vengeful Shuten Doji has taken the Kumaso clan and plans an attack on the capital itself! She hurries home empty handed, but the ministers of the court are not likely to believe her before it's too late.
