It's nearly bedtime for Ben and Rachel Kleinman's two young daughters when the family receives an unexpected visitor at their New York City home - Ben's father Sam. Though Sam shambles in with his customary good cheer, Ben and Rachel sense that something is not right. After 47 years of marriage, Muriel Kleinman has flown the coop, leaving behind only a vaguely worded note of explanation.
