This film tells of the rise and fall of the Comedian Harmonists who were one of Europe's most popular musical groups. The group is the idea of an imaginative, Jewish funnyman named Harry (Ulrich Noethan) who struggled to make ends meet until he decides to form a singing group modeled after the American a capella group
The Revellers. He soon teams up with an unusual group of friends, that form a musical group that capture the nation's heart and become an overnight sensation. But in a country where the political situation is slowly changing, the group faces a challenge that will test their wills and try their loyalties.
